When is Binance founder CZ coming out of prison?

This week, some Binance fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their excitement that the exchange’s founder, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), was scheduled to complete his prison sentence on August 30. Unfortunately for them — and CZ — a quick fact-check reveals that he won’t actually be freed by that date. On April 30, US District Judge Richard Jones sentenced CZ to four months in a Seattle prison , recommending Seatac, a prison and administrative security federal detention center. Many observers apparently believed that CZ entered Seatac that same day, which would indeed have made August 30 his release date. WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange has been freed from a UK prison after striking a plea deal with the US that allows him to return to his native Australia on the condition that he pleads guilty to one count of espionage.  Assange spent five years in prison and seven years in Ecuador’s London embassy while fighting against his extradition to the US. He faced 18 espionage charges over the leaking of confidential military data, records from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and US diplomatic cables. Assange flew to Bangkok on Tuesday and, after a short stopover, will proceed to Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands where he will appear before a US Federal Court. There, he will plead guilty to conspiring to obtain and disclose classified US national defense documents. Law enforcement authorities in the country, where certain crypto activities are legal , do not plan to impose other penalties besides the administrative measure. Cryptocurrency Trader Tries to Challenge Fine in Belarusian Court The Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus has rejected the appeal of a Belarusian against a lower-instance ruling ordering him to pay 2,700,000 Belarusian rubles (around $1 million) to the state for trading digital assets outside the law. The man, identified only by the initial ‘A,’ is accused of using the Telegram messenger to set up an online cryptocurrency exchanger in January 2021. He allegedly made 5,400,000 rubles as income from his il legal activities.
