Prolific blockchain investigator ZachXBT has expressed his frustration with constant pleas for help coming from certain parts of the crypto community. Specifically, the pseudonymous sleuth is disinclined to help XRP holders who he believes, “provide nothing of value to the industry except exit liquidity for insiders.” Ripple holders provide nothing of value to the industry except exit liquidity for insiders thus are not worth supporting (Likewise with Cardano, Pulsechain, Hedera, etc) — ZachXBT (@zachxbt) August 28, 2025 Read more: Google’s blockchain team is building an XRP killer According to screenshots posted by another X user, the initial request (since deleted) came from a Ripple user who claims to have lost over $33,000 attempting to claim tokens from an airdrop. New $TRUMP Meme Coin Explodes To $21 Billion Market Cap Ahead Of Inauguration Day, But Is It Legit?

Image
A new meme coin called Official Trump ($TRUMP) skyrocketed to an eye-popping $21 billion fully diluted market cap within hours of its debut at 2am UTC on Solana today. But with 80% of its supply locked, the crypto community is at odds over whether it’s a legitimate project or sophisticated scam. At press time the token is up 2,386% at $18.086 with trading volume of $564 million. The TRUMP/SOL trading pair has $7.6 million in liquidity. Degens have aped into the new coin, but are no doubt poised to bail if the token proves to be a fake.  If momentum continues to build around the token as Americans wake from their slumbers, the new $TRUMP coin’s price could very easily hit $100 or more in the run-up to the presidential inauguration on Monday.  In market capitalization terms, $TRUMP could quickly soar to a fully diluted $100 billion valuation. A flurry of crypto-friendly executive orders are expected from the White Hou...

A faction of the Bitcoin community, however, is skeptical of the solution, going as far as calling it a “scam.” Finbold reported about it last week to understand how Cardano can tap Bitcoin’s $1.3 trillion liquidity as an L2. In particular, the Bitcoin influencer and podcast host Peter McCormack shared a related post, sounding “SCAM” alarms. He warned his over 500,000 followers, “Cardano wants your Bitcoin as nobody wants Cardano,” calling the project a scam. Despite receiving dozens of informative comments from the Cardano community and other commentators, the Bitcoin influencer has kept his stance. As of this writing, McCormack’s post has received over 75,000 views in less than 12 hours of posting. Picks ...
